The international day of the cat ! (the august 8th)

Perhaps you know this Japanese statuette.

The maneki-neko, or lucky cat, or literally "cat that invites" (they are common in stores because they have to bring customers).

Depending on the leg (s) raised and its color (s), it does not mean the same thing at all!

Maneki-neko, How to use :

The left leg raised must attract customers. This statuette is the female version, it calls customers and is used at work.

The right paw must attract money. This statuette is the male version that calls fortune and is found mostly in homes. (This may vary by region and time)

There are cats raising both legs and more rarely the four legs.

The colors of maneki-neko :

- Tricolore (white, red and black) is the first favorite color.

- White means purity, it's the second favorite color.

- Black is supposed to ward off evil spirits and aggressors.

- Red must bring health and protection.

- Golden and yellow are associated with wealth.

- Rose calls love.

- Green is associated with academic and academic success.

So ? What is the meaning of the cat in the photo of this article ? Did you recognize and remember ?
