Tea Time

Dernière mise à jour : 17 avr. 2019

This has been a tradition in Britain, since the 18th century, established by the Duchess of Bedford which consists of taking tea with sweet cakes and salty sandwiches around 5 p.m (because she was a little hungry at that time !). Drinking tea is a ritual and is essential no matter what time or situation. It is taken with a slice of lemon, a cloud of milk and sugar.

In India, tea is infused directly into the milk and spices and sugar are added. Yum !

In Japan, tea has a specific place. Matcha green tea is powdered, very green, and used for a ceremony called by the same name. A room in the house is dedicated and every gesture, from infusion to tasting, is repeated as for a choreography.

Tea is the second favorite drink of the French, after water ! Most of the time, they dip a tea bag in a cup or teapot.

To everyone his/her way of drinking tea !

Well done on getting your blog up and running and adding your first posts.

Different tea rituals are an excellent choice of subject to begin your blog on different cultures and traditions.

I could add to this, a mention of the drinking and serving of mint tea in North Africa and the very distinct manner in which it is served:
